The Beehive Golf Society News

The first Beehive golfing event of the year had a great turnout for a very fine and sunny May day. A field of 31 beehive members saw Leroy Townsend win the trophy with 38 points. Three competitors finished on 38 points to take the prizes with Dave Ensum narrowly finishing 2nd on countback, with Andy Gray taking 3rd.

Beehive members were treated to a lovely day in the sun out on the course with everyone vying to make the top 16 to qualify for the years Knockout competition, which was won last year by Stuart Curran.

The Nearest the Pin competition was won by Beehive Secretary, Nick Hitchens. Pat Riordan in somewhat controversial fashion took the Longest Drive trophy and Andy Gray won the par 3 compeition.

The Beehive would like to thank all attending members for their support and hope to see them again at the next meeting, The Presidents Cup, on Sunday, 8th June.
